Christmas Trivia Games

We're so excited about our newest Printable party game - the Christmas trivia game. It can be played as a fun card game called "Christmas Trivia Deal-n-Steal" or you can simply set the cards out at your Christmas party and use them as conversation starter cards. There are 110 trivia cards in all.

Of course, we have conversation starter cards on the site - but the Christmas trivia cards are really unique. They include all sorts of fun facts that we never knew until we researched them.

If you're following my 'Countdown until the Christmas party', the Christmas trivia cards are idea #2. I'm printing them off today for my own Christmas party so it'll be one less thing I have to do the day of the party. You too can get a set, just visit the Christmas party games page for lots of great ideas for your Christmas party.

Annual Christmas Party Countdown

Jennifer, your host here.

It's just under two weeks until my annual Christmas party. This year I'll be hosting about 40 people in my home.  I'm gathering my Christmas party ideas and making my menu. Follow me on the blog as I post updates on the party plan. I'll post my menu, party games, and decorating ideas.

I must admit that because my ankle is still in a cast, I'm "running" a little slow. But I'm a DIY girl so I'll have to pull it together! But thanks to my friend Meg who is doubling as "Santa's Helper"!

Idea #1: Here's a fun Christmas party idea that's also really practical. Not everyone at the party will know each other so I'll be printing name name tags for each guest.

To make it more interesting, the name tags will also serve as an icebreaker. Underneath each name I'll print the words, "I Like _________". Guests will fill in the blank with something they like. It could be anything: chocolate, Christmas, cars, games, movies, etc. Of course, I'll print a few examples.

When guests meet, they'll automatically have an icebreaker - they'll see one thing that the other person enjoys. And, bonus: when their conversation is over, they'll walk away remembering each others names.

Alice in Wonderland Tea Party

Our friend at Moonlight and Whimsy have delighted us with an "Alice and Wonderland" theme that's truly a fairy tale. Every detail is simply delightful, including chandeliers made of ribbon and paper lanterns and butterflies that adorn chairs, flowers, and food.

Visit her lovely blog at http://moonlight-whimsy.blogspot.com/2010/11/lauras-11th-unbirthday-party.html for a real treat. You'll see lots of photos of this party and she gives details about where to find all the treasures she used.

What a great party! You may also visit themed-party-ideas.com for more on hosting a tea party including recipes, printable cupcake wrappers and more great party ideas.

Conversation Starters - A Great Christmas Party Activity

Conversation starters are a great Christmas party idea for adults. It's funny how you can just set out a set of conversation cards and guests find them without being prompted.

They're great for stirring party conversation and getting guests to relax and mingle. Themed-party-ideas has a set of 120 funny and interesting printable conversation cards.  Just print them out and you could be enjoying them at your party tonight! What's even better is that if you need more than one set for a large party, it's no problem, just print two sets.

Nothing could be easier for a hostess. In an ideal world you'd like to greet each guest and introduce them to other guests with common interests. But this takes work, and you want to enjoy your Christmas party, wedding reception, or bridal shower.

Providing icebreaker games is a great solution. Conversation starter cards are everyone's favorite icebreaker. They're understated, yet appreciated.
