40th Birthday Party Ideas:

I was 5, I blinked...and now I'm 40?! No, it wasn't a pair of ruby slippers that got me here, it was my old friend, Father Time! And his brother, Gravity, is wanting an invite to my birthday party too! The Nerve!
Neither are on my guest list!
Creating 40th Birthday Party Ideas is part of my job, but I'm passing the buck when it comes to planning my own 40th birthday party.
So, I've posted this video to introduce myself to you and to invite YOU to help me celebrate!

ReplyDelete40 is the new 20! Maybe you should pick a time of your life and embrace it within your party! Say if you liked the 80's then do an 80's themed party. Whatever you do have fun and remember you are only as old as you feel!
ReplyDelete**** This is what I did for my stepdaughters 11th (?) birthday... I sat her down and made a list of ALL of her favorite things.... her favorite colors, her favorite animals, favorite hobbies, foods, everything - you name it. That was my starting list.. then we just picked a few things and that was her party (it ended up being some kind of winter wonderland, as her favorite colors were blue and white, with chinese food and craft projects,cupcakes instead of cake, hot chocolate... pancakes for breaky, etc)...It's YOUR party... Do/incorporate ALL of YOUR favorite things - it is about you afterall!! :) :) :) (I just turned 31, had a fondue~cards/game night for my 30th, and a pirate party for my 31st...not sure what next year will bring but it will be fun! :) Maybe I will incorporate all of my favorite things for my 40th! :)

ReplyDeleteI loved your ideas! And I've definitely been thinking about my favorite things and you've inspired me to create a 40th year bucket list.
I've decided that 40 is such a big deal that one party just won't do. So I'm filling the entire year with my favorite things "bucket list"!
Yes, I'll be having a party and I haven't settled on all the details just yet, but it's going to be a bucket list party.
Here's a sneak preview:
Grasp vainly at youth: Botox and Massages
Do something I've never done: 1/2 Marathon - in fact I've never run!
Vacation with total abandon: Costa Rica (and take friends with us!)
So, I've been doing some serious planning of both the "party" and "life" variety. Stay tuned.

ReplyDeleteI have just started a bucket list myself..but I never thought of working a party around it!! :)
Also took this a bit further and am currently making a favorite list for seasons...(so far for spring all I have is Easter Lilies LOL)... Maybe once it's compiled a bit more it will turn into a party as well (for future years!)
What is life if you can't celebrate...well EVERYTHING!!!
